OUR STORY
My roots stretch back to the rainforests of the Ivory Coast, where my grandfather was a cocoa farmer and my father grew up on a cocoa plantation.
As a child, I remember a moment that changed everything: my father telling me that neither he nor the other farmers who worked tirelessly in the fields had ever tasted the product of their labor - chocolate. That moment stayed in my heart forever.
This fueled our mission to make chocolate at the source - sustainably, from tree to bar in Ghana. Zacao helps to nurture the local communities that pour their hearts into cultivating our cocoa.
We are working alongside farmers who rise before dawn to provide for their families. We do this by paying our farmers a premium that's higher than Fairtrade rates, putting money directly into their hands to build better lives.
True to our values, Zacao chocolate is plant-based and organic at every step. We craft each bar with intention and soul, proving that incredible flavor comes from purity and highest quality ingredients.
